Tender Appointment

We had our 3 hour long tender appointment this morning.

It was a pretty good process - to the point, easy and not too heavily complicated. The consultant was easy going - he even offered suggestions and areas to improve on like having 2 way switches that we never even thought of. Or even double checking that certain bi-fold doors heights would prove workable in the house.

It was also interesting to see the first mock up architectural drawing of the house. It had in it the contouring of the land, and minor details of how the neighbours property will sit near the fences and boundaries of our property.

Also had a nice latte with two sugars in the process.

We managed to sign away on the same day (and give another installment of our monies away).

Feeling that things are progressing now...not tooooooo long to go....

Shades of red

We were contemplating on our decision about the bricks for the house so we decided to physically check out the Gypsy Rose bricks at Boral. Not bad, 8/10 I reckon.

We then to took a trip down to Daniel Robertson in Nunawading. In the back of our minds we were fixated on the red blend brick.......I think we may need to change the decision in our tender papers.......

Eggplant

Did I also mention I wanted this eggplant purple colour in our bathroom - I didnt get my way.

I was advised that maybe I could get towels in that colour instead - lol :P

Colours

We had our colour appointment on 2 August and boy we were dreading all the decision making we were up for!! We had initially had the 3 hour appointment but had to request the whole day appointment - thank god that we did though.

We visited Cosham twice already and both those times we spent dazing at tiles and timber floors and things just started to spin around and look a like. It was basically a headache nightmare!! :(

Our sales lady was terrific, she stepped us through the process bit by bit and things were not so over-whelming, as we originally thought.

So these are the colour's we've gone with throughout the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms.

We've pretty much settled on the certain colours we saw at display houses at Caroline Springs, Craigieburn and Point Cook.

Over the past week I've doubted all the decisions we've made, but Im reassured everytime I look at the pics that we've chosen some really schmick and timeless colours that will rock-on!!
