it looks so prettty

We (well me in particular) are sooo excited and about how the roof has turned out. It's so prettty and elegant in its design and colour.

As the tiling of the roof is almost complete, they will just need to do the joints and put motor all over the roof to seal it off from water and the elements.

House is looking more snug and cuddly. Its all wrapped up in insulation and getting ready to beat the summer heat. It looks as though the tradies are getting the bricks ready and hopefully not to long before lock up stage when we can no longer access the house inside. boo hoo ya'll :(

It's 33 degrees tomorrow w/ 30% chance of rain

The tiling on the roof is progressing and it looks like they'll be at least 50% done tomorrow. I think its in their best interest to get it up quick smart because we are getting a hot week this week. Well tomorrow it will be 33 degrees - hopefully they'll have some shade to keep them cool.

I was also suprised to see the insulation on the walls. It looks like its getting wrapped up for us for Christmas :)

How high is our roof!!

Whats the magic number? It's 5.835 (to the dot) of the height of the house from base to the tip of the frame. From the floor to the ceiling, its 2881. WOW!

Its blooody huge! It looks freggin' amazing looking at it compared to the neighbours double story. Our roof touches the start of where the  neighbours roof starts. so coool :)

Progress so far.... Frame stage is almost complete. Just doing touch ups. Independent Inspector soon to come out this week.

So our windows are covered in GOOP! Apparently this keeps the window clean and fresh while they put the bricks and other materials on the house.
Reading about GOOP, its environmentally friendly and easily peels off.

A new delivery - sand! Yay. I think this is for ether i) the brick stage or ii) for the gravel area near the frame cos there isnt a lot of top soil there and during the rainy days it was basically piling up with water. We'll soon find out in the next couple of days.

Because we love ice magic!

Delivery of roof trusses

Its really starting to look like a house with the roof trusses being delivered today. I cant believe they managed to actually have them 'on the roof'. You can see in the picture below.

So hopefully the frame will be completed on Friday and by then we will be getting an independent inspector come out. To our untrained eyes, everything seems to mould and stick together. The frame aint shaking and there arent any crooked or woobly bits. Finger's crossed.

So we're delivery number 5829....

This picture is looking straight up into the sky. A lot going on up there.

You can see the support legs to keep the frame UP.

You can see here that they've put supporting legs to keep the frame up so when they put the roof on it doesnt all fall down.

They've also put all of our windows up, our bi-fold doors and door frames :)

Can you see our bi-fold doors??? And thats the theatre right there!

This picture was actually taken on Saturday. Can you see that the meter box is actually in the frame of the window? Whooopsies. And then what they did to fix it up below - yay!

Frame going up

We took photos on Saturday 12 November. Took the niece and nephew too :) and a measuring tape toooo!
