Where Chris will be spending most of his days - in the Laundry - his second favourite room of the house (besides the study...oh wait...and the kitchen too:) )

We love our bricks!!

We are soooo super doper wrapt about our choice of bricks - Daniel Robertson, Red Blend

Here are the beautiful bricks :)

Frame stage

We didnt expect any work to be completed on Monday (7 Nov) because there was a storm on the Sunday night - it rained so hard, so heavy I'm sure it wouldve dampened the mud and soil around the place.

Lately the weather is getting a bit humid - it rains a lot, and then the temperature is high making it all muggy and sticky. Today was no exception and there was progress on the block. Here are some pictures of what the carpenters got up to today...

the SLAB!! Good on ya' Johnny!!

Today, we got the slab. TIP-TOP's the one (good on ya mum)!!!

Here's the good looking piece of slab. We got there after work today to see the hard yakka's still hard at it. Boy they are blooody rippin' fast at making things happen. As Speedy Gonzales would be saying, ""¡Ándele! ¡Ándele! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba! ¡Epa¡ ¡Epa! ¡Epa! Yeehaw!"

They told us they got delayed by an hour cos of the concreter - he didnt want to drive up our drive way cos he was afraid he was going to get bogged in all that mud we had sitting around the front area of the block; so he came in from another way causing them to waste time.

Above is where the spa will be. Chris tells me this is where they have to adjust the drainage hole for the spa.

 This is our grand alfresco

pre- slab

so we got to the block after work today to find that all the prep had been done (before the slab goes in).

there soo little room to move around the block with the size of the slab. Its crowed enough with all the dirt, metal frames, wood and toilet, plus getting your shoes covered in mud. Good thing that Chris is willing to walk all over the dirt with his spanking leather shoes!

p.s Chris got his casper gloves today (like the one gosling is wearing below). It feels like he has been waiting years for them bcos he hasnt stopped talking about them since he ordered them last week. Apparently it went via Austria first. What do you guys think of them?

heheheh - casper...this was my favourite movie when I as growing up! I use to have the VHS of it!
