We're at the tail end of the fixing stage - hoooray!
We can to the house on Friday evening and found these yellow stickers everywhere. They were of course items throughout the house that needed fixing. All of them were on the walls - drips and drabs of paint and marks that needed tidying up. It was really interesting to see as it wasn't visible to my eyes.
Thought we'd take advantage of the yellow stickers laying around and put them on spots we thought'd they'd miss.....
The next day on Saturday, a painter came in and removed basically all of them cos he was working on items that needed fixing.Chris was so surprised to see the painter fixing/painting the walk in pantry without a light! Chris was there and gave him a light globe to use for the painting...Shakes Head....
Anyways, we (well, Chris did) spent a good 4 hours on the house going through all the defects he could see internally and externally throughout the house. He was absolutely rapt do have done this cause he would be saving time and pressure when the time comes (on Thursday) for the independent inspection, including Henley too. In total there was a total of 100 items we had to raise with Henley for them to address. They are minor things like a dint here and there, plaster crack, scratch here and there...but it all adds up and at the end of the day, you want a good, brand new house without defects. End of story. Agree?
Stay tuned for more....
Move in day is coming closer....
